We’re Bob and Deborah, the slightly bewildered storymakers behind this blog. Picture a middle-aged couple, teetering on the brink of old age, yet somehow managing to dodge the responsibility of growing up. That’s us!

The Gulliver Family
We met in the late ’80s at 1st Houghton (St. Michael’s) Venture Scouts, Tyne & Wear, and got engaged two years to the day of our first date! Bob graduated in 1990 and started his first IT job in Edinburgh while Deborah hit the books at Teeside University. We married on the 5th anniversary of our first date! We moved to the Scottish borders town of Biggar in April 1995 and welcomed Honi to the world in May 1996, with Feni joining us in January 1998, less than a month after moving to the Netherlands.
